I'm a certified rock guide apprentice from canada - this means I am working my way to a full guide but at this time i am in a mentorship phase - though i can be employed and work with the public.
I want to be in California this winter working as a guide. and have at least one company who will "hire" me so far. But neither of us knows how to move forward with the payment process.
How can I receive payment from the u.s. as a canadian in my situation?

Thank you for your question. You will need to apply for a valid work visa so that you can legally work in the US for your new employer. I suggest that you speak with an immigration consultant about the process.
