I'm a temporary resident in Canada on work visa and want to register an LLC for ecommerce business. I'm leaning towards registering it in the USA as that's where I want to sell but not sure what the tax implications will be. I can't register the LLC in my country of citizenship as it is not eligible to sell in the USA or CA. Where should I register the company in order to better further my business in N.America.

Consider forming a US LLC to sell goods and services to American customers, after you leave Canada and become a non-resident of Canada for tax purposes. A Canadian tax resident will be double taxed if he/she does business in the US through a US LLC.

For non-Canadians, LLCs are a good choice of business structure for two primary reasons. First, LLCs provide limited liability to its members. Second, an LLC is considered as a 'flow-through-entity'. This means that an LLC does not pay tax, but rather the individual members of a US LLC pay US personal income tax on their share of an LLC's profits.
