On the W-7 form if you enter USA as your country of birth, will the application still be processed?
Background:
Was born in the USA, and immigrated to Canada as an infant. Never lived or worked in the US, don't have a SSN.
Will need an ITIN to receive some USA based inheritance.

I don't believe your W7 application will be processed successfully because you are a US citizen and you are eligible for an SSN. If you are eligible for an SSN, then you are not eligible for an ITIN. Please double-check with the IRS / Social Security Administration.
