If I am leaving the country to settle in Costa Rica, and cut the ties with Canada to become a non resident for tax purposes, when should I submit the departure tax return to CRA?
Thank you

Hello,
You should file a departure return with the Canada Revenue Agency by April 30 of the year following the year of your departure. For example, if you cut your ties with Canada and left Canada in 2018, then the departure return must be filed by April 30, 2019.
