Hello Madan,
Seen your videos online and they are great! I would like to seek your advice on my situation. I have become a Canadian PR in 2017, have been a US Alien Resident since 2005 and pay US taxes. Presently reside in the US, Citizen of India. Have been in Canada for 4 days in 2017, have a SIN and Canadian Bank Accounts with minimum balance, no income in Canada for 2017. Do I have to file Canada Income Tax return for 2017? I do plan to move to Canada in the near future.
Thanks!

Hi, no, you don't need to file a Canadian tax return since you only temporarily stayed in Canada, and then left. When you permanently move to Canada, you will become a tax resident of Canada at that time.
